Guide for buying Laptop or Notebook

Now a days, people are very passionate about Laptops and Ultra books. Ultra book is the latest series of Laptop having lots of new features and it is slimmest Laptop till date. At present there are many models available in Laptops and Ultra books and each model have its own configuration. The main drawback of laptop and ultra books is that we can’t modify them easily. We can’t change hardware as per our requirement. So, it is difficult for people to choose among various models. Here, I am sharing some tips which will help you to choose best configuration for you.

While purchasing Laptop, you should check the following things given below:

Processor: 

The first thing you should check in Laptop is processor. It is the most expensive component of a Laptop. The latest processor available in market is Intel i7 (3rd generation) which costs you around Rs.17000-Rs.20000 ($299-$379). If you can afford it, it’s highly recommended you to have a good processor like Intel i7. If you can’t afford it, you should at least have i5 or i3 processors which are also good processors. Their 3rd Generation versions are most recommended which provides you a high processing speed and avoids hang ups. 

Motherboard:

Today, various types of motherboards available in market like normal motherboard, gaming motherboard etc. You should choose your motherboard as per your purpose of using Laptop and checks in Laptop configuration whether Laptop you are going to purchase have that type of motherboard or not. The most recommended motherboard manufacturers are Intel and ASUS which provides you high performance as per your requirement.

Hard Disk Drive (HDD):

Hard Disk Drive is the component in which you install operating system and other files. Now-a-days, Laptop have HDD with 500 GB data storage capacity. If you wants you save many things in Laptop, for e.g. you want to buy Laptop for your DJ shop, you should have HDD with 1 TB (Terabyte) capacity. If you want to use Laptop for small office purpose or for saving your documents and slides, an HDD with 500 GB capacity is enough.

Random Access Memory (RAM):

RAM is a device which controls system’s speed. Laptops have minimum 1 GB RAM and Maximum 16 GB RAM. If you want to use in Laptop for office purpose, 4 GB RAM is enough, but if you want to use your Laptop for high gaming performance, it is recommended you to have at least 8 GB RAM.

Optical Disc Drive (DVD-ROM/DVD-Rw):

DVD-ROM/DVD-Rw is a device which reads and writes CDs, DVDs etc. For a basic computing, it is recommended you to have DVD-Rw. But if you want to be updated and can spend money, you can purchase a Laptop having Blu-ray Burner. Disc drive is the only device in Laptop and Ultra book which can be replaced easily. So, if you have purchased a Laptop with DVD writer and you want to update it with Blu-ray burner, you can do it easily.

Graphic Memory:

Graphic memory improves video quality and gaming performance of Laptop. High resolution games requires high video quality to run in PC. So, you need high graphic memory to play these games. So, we recommend you to have a graphic card with at least 2GB video memory. The most recommended Graphic card manufacturer is NVIDIA. 

Screen Size:

Remember Laptop or Ultra book PCs should not have too large screen. You should have around 14 inch screen size. A too big screen makes your Laptop bulky and you feel oak ward while carrying it. 

Look:

Last but not least, you should choose which type of look you want. If you want to use your Laptop for professional purpose, you should have a Laptop having plain black, grey or white color. But if you want a nice look for your Laptop  you should select a Laptop in which you can change back cover or having some texture on it etc.
